Aman 19 is a custom luxury residence within the prestigious Amangani Villas community in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where architecture and landscape are seamlessly intertwined to create a tranquil mountain retreat. Carefully designed to follow the natural contours of its sloping site, the residence embraces the surrounding environment through a series of interconnected pavilions, intimate outdoor spaces, and thoughtfully framed views that celebrate the extraordinary beauty of the Teton region.

The home's architecture gently cascades down the hillside, allowing each pavilion to respond individually to the terrain while preserving expansive views of the surrounding mountains and valley. A collection of elegant hipped roof pavilionsis arranged around a serene, Zen-inspired central courtyard, creating a private outdoor sanctuary that serves as the spiritual and visual heart of the residence. This courtyard introduces natural light deep into the home while fostering a constant connection between interior living spaces and the surrounding landscape.

Connecting the individual pavilions is a series of living sod roof corridors that blur the distinction between indoors and outdoors. Open to the central courtyard, these transitional spaces create the sensation of walking through the landscape rather than simply moving between rooms. This immersive circulation experience reinforces the home's close relationship with nature while establishing a peaceful rhythm throughout the residence.

Every room has been carefully positioned to capture a unique perspective of the surrounding landscape. Expansive walls of glass frame panoramic views of the Teton Range, Snake River Valley, and neighboring mountains, transforming each space into a distinct visual experience. As residents move through the home, carefully placed architectural portals reveal a sequence of framed vistas, creating moments of discovery that encourage exploration and celebrate the changing beauty of Jackson Hole throughout the seasons.

The residence is crafted from a timeless palette of natural stone, wood, glass, and metal, reflecting the textures and colors of the surrounding mountain environment. Rich natural materials continue seamlessly from exterior to interior, dissolving traditional boundaries and creating a cohesive architectural language rooted in place. This restrained material palette allows the landscape itself to become the home's defining design feature while expressing a refined interpretation of contemporary mountain architecture.

Despite its generous scale, Aman 19 was designed to maintain a warm and intimate atmosphere. Carefully proportioned spaces, layered ceiling heights, and thoughtfully composed architectural details create a comfortable human scale that enhances daily living while conveying a quiet sense of elegance. Every element of the home—from handcrafted finishes to custom millwork—reflects Ward Blake Architects' commitment to exceptional craftsmanship and timeless design.

Outdoor living spaces are integral to the home's experience. Private terraces, landscaped courtyards, and sheltered gathering areas extend the living environment into the natural landscape, offering residents opportunities for entertaining, relaxation, and quiet reflection while remaining immersed in the beauty of Jackson Hole. The interplay between architecture, landscape, and light creates a dynamic living experience that evolves throughout the day and across every season.

Sustainability is woven into the design through environmentally responsive site planning, green roof systems, and sensitive integration with the existing topography. By following the natural contours of the hillside and minimizing site disturbance, the residence reduces its environmental footprint while enhancing energy performance, preserving open space, and maintaining the visual integrity of the Amangani community.

Aman 19 embodies Ward Blake Architects' philosophy of creating luxury mountain homes that are deeply connected to their setting. Through thoughtful site integration, timeless natural materials, sustainable design strategies, and an exceptional sequence of indoor and outdoor spaces, the residence offers a sophisticated retreat where architecture, landscape, and lifestyle exist in perfect harmony.
